If you are considering purchasing a property, you will probably wish to obtain a pre-purchase survey. A survey will allow you to fully understand what it is you are buying, including any potential risks and liabilities that may come with it.
It has become common for surveyors to offer a bewildering array of different types of building survey, supposedly to suit different ages and types of building. Here at Earleys we don’t hold that philosophy, we think that every survey, every property and every client, needs the same level of care and attention to detail. With this in mind, we provide one type of house survey, the Building Condition Survey.
Our Building Condition Survey involves a thorough, inside and out, onsite inspection of the property, reviewing the building fabric in detail, along with an overview of the services, grounds and surrounding area.
The findings of the survey will be provided to you in a detailed report, including a summary of any key points and where necessary, guide costs for remedial works. The report can be passed to your solicitors, to address any legal points arising and of course, if there is anything in the report you are not totally clear about, we are always happy to talk it through on the telephone.
If you would like to book a survey, obtain a quote, or just chat through the process in more detail, please click here to contact us.
If you are considering building work, maybe extending your home, then you have probably spoken to friends who have been through the process and tell stories of a frustrating, disruptive and messy journey. Well, the truth is they are probably right.
Now we know what you are thinking, we are not really selling this are we?
Well, here is the kick, it can also be hugely satisfying!
Taking your own home and shaping it into what you want and need it to be, can be immensely rewarding. That process is a whole lot easier if you have the right advice to guide you along the way and that’s were Earleys can help.
We provide a full range of construction design services, including measured surveys, design drawings, applications, specifications, contract administration and on-site inspection. Where necessary, we can even help with appointing other specialists to support your project.
Welcome to Earleys Surveying and Design. If you were hoping to deal with a large, faceless corporation, devoted to stacking high and selling cheap, I am sorry, you are going to be disappointed.
Hi, I am Dominic Earley and Earleys Surveying and Design is just me. So, if you are doing business with Earleys, you are doing business with me, one human to another.
I have been a Building Surveyor for well over fifteen years and have been privileged to work on a huge range of different projects. My experience includes residential surveys and extensions, commercial property, social housing and schools, along with extensive work for the UK military.
After leaving Kingston University armed with a first-class degree, I was hugely fortunate to work for a small, but well-established firm of surveyors in Godalming, Surrey. This company’s traditional values of client care, professionalism and pride in one’s work, were deeply instilled in me during the early part of my career.
That focus on client care and pride in my work has never left me. It is also why I setup Earleys Surveying and Design Ltd., so that I can continue to provide a personal, affordable service that I am proud to put my name to.
